TNM-FH Medium is a variation of Grace’s medium, enriched with lactalbumin hydrolysate and yeast extract, that has proved to be a good culture medium for many lepidopteran cells. It contains L-glutamine, glucose and 0.35 g/L sodium bicarbonate, without phenol red, HEPES or sodium pyruvate. TNM-FH is widely used for the culture of Sf cells and for baculovirus expression, typically supplemented per protocol.
Grace’s, enriched for lepidopteran cells. TNM-FH adds lactalbumin hydrolysate and yeast extract to the Grace’s base and includes L-glutamine, supporting many lepidopteran cells and baculovirus work.
