In-Depth Industry Editions

The In-Depth Industry Editions are the standards behind the products - long-form, numbered briefings that take one bioprocess topic at a time and set out what "good" should mean, attribute by attribute, proven on the Certificate of Analysis.

Each edition is a free, ungated web page with an optional PDF. They are the deep companion to our shorter technical papers: where a tech paper makes a point, an edition sets a standard.

Available editions

One standard per topic

Eight editions are live: two foundation editions (downstream and water), one per application - antibodies, cell & gene therapy, mRNA, vaccines and liposomes & LNP - and C05 The Open Path, the staged route from bench to filing. Read each one online or download the PDF to share.

DownstreamLive

Edition D01

Standardising the Downstream

One qualified GMP toolkit built from a small set of recurring stock solutions - research grade to GMP, with the process-specific tail covered by custom manufacture.

WaterLive

Edition D02

The WFI Beyond Standard

Why "meets WFI" is only a floor - the beyond-compendial water standard, with all 24 ICH Q3D elemental impurities specified and measured, and the two metals that oxidise an antibody (copper and iron) controlled at the source. FDA Type IV (excipient) DMF filed: MF044505.

Monoclonal antibodiesLive

Edition A02

Standardising the Antibody Program

The 13-step monoclonal-antibody program - five upstream, seven downstream and a QC & stability step - delivered as ready-to-use process bundles, one labelled box per step.

Cell & gene therapyLive

Edition A03

One Foundation for Cell & Gene Therapy

One serum-free, xeno-free toolkit for the whole cell & gene therapy process - a shared upstream, then the cell-therapy, viral-vector and plasmid-DNA tracks, research to GMP. Built on nuclease-free, ultra-low-endotoxin WFI Beyond.

Liposomes & LNPLive

Edition A06

One Foundation for the Whole Liposome Process

One qualified GMP supply base for a lipid-based process - from the aqueous phase and hydration buffers, through formation, size reduction, purification and solvent removal, to excipient-grade formulation. Built on WFI Beyond.

Custom SolutionsLive

Edition C05

The Open Path

One qualified GMP foundation taken up in three opt-in stages - on-stock GMP buffers and media (speed), the WFI Beyond water upgrade (safety), DMF and stability support (formalities) - from the research bench to the regulatory filing, without changing the chemistry.

Technical papers

The companion technical papers

Eight shorter papers, each making one argument in focus - free and ungated, with an optional PDF.

DownstreamLive

Technical paper TP-01

The Open Downstream

The commercial case for one qualified, on-stock GMP downstream - a GMP product for every DSP step, qualified once and scaled without re-qualification.

WaterLive

Technical paper TP-04

WFI Beyond - Beyond Compendial

Water for Injection beyond the monograph - endotoxin more than 50x and TOC 10x below the limit, all 24 ICH Q3D elements measured, backed by a filed FDA Type IV (excipient) DMF.

Media powder · WaterLive

Technical paper TP-05

The Water in the Powder

A ready-to-use medium is ~99% water, so its impurity load is the powder's plus the reconstitution water's - the half almost nobody measures. Why the water belongs in the impurity budget.

Downstream · DetergentsLive

Technical paper TP-06

Choosing a Viral-Inactivation Detergent

Four requirements - performance, compliant supply under REACH, animal origin and per-lot documentation - turned into a checklist, and the two PANclear grades for research and for GMP production.

Downstream · DetergentsLive

Technical paper TP-07

Switching off the REACH Trap

A practical guideline for moving viral inactivation off octylphenol ethoxylates subject to REACH authorisation - six steps, a checklist and a 100 ml to 1000 L scale path.

FAQ

About the In-Depth Industry Editions

What is an In-Depth Industry Edition?
A long-form, numbered briefing from PAN-Biotech / PAN-Celltech that takes one bioprocess topic and sets a standard for it - written down, measurable and proven on the Certificate of Analysis. Each edition is a free web page with an optional PDF download.
How is an edition different from a technical paper?
A technical paper makes a single argument, briefly. An edition sets a standard in depth - the full specification, the data behind it, and what it means by role. Editions are the deep companion to the tech papers, and they cross-link to each other.
Are they free, and do I have to register?
They are free and ungated. Read the full edition as a web page; download the PDF if you want a copy to share. No form, no login.
