Schneider’s Drosophila Medium was originally developed for the culture of Drosophila cells and is also suitable for other dipteran cell lines. It is available both with L-glutamine (P04-91500) and without L-glutamine (P04-90500, add L-glutamine before use), and contains glucose with 0.4 g/L sodium bicarbonate, without phenol red, HEPES or sodium pyruvate. The medium is typically supplemented per protocol for Drosophila and dipteran cell culture.
