For resistance selection

Paneticin G418 (geneticin), 50 mg/ml is a ready-to-use aminoglycoside selection antibiotic. G418 blocks polypeptide synthesis by inhibiting the elongation step in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, and at higher concentrations it kills eukaryotic cells that do not carry a resistance gene. It is widely used to select and maintain cells transfected with a neomycin-resistance (neo/nptII) marker. Optimal concentrations vary by cell line, typically 200-500 µg/ml for mammalian cells.

Reliable G418 selection, ready to use. A 50 mg/ml geneticin solution for selecting and maintaining neomycin-resistant cells.

Why Paneticin G418, 50 mg/ml

  • Proven selection – the standard antibiotic for neomycin-resistance systems.
  • Ready-to-use – 50 mg/ml solution, no reconstitution.
  • Dose per cell line – typically 200-500 µg/ml for mammalian cells.
  • Quality controlled – released to defined specifications.
