HEPES Buffer 1 M is a sterile buffer solution used to stabilise the pH of cell culture media. HEPES buffers effectively in the physiological range and is largely independent of the CO2/bicarbonate system, which makes it useful when cells are handled outside a CO2 incubator or during procedures at the bench. A GMP-grade version (CT-01100) is available.
