HAT Supplement is a 50x concentrated selection reagent containing hypoxanthine, aminopterin and thymidine. It is used in hybridoma technology to select fused cells after cell fusion: aminopterin blocks the de novo pathway of nucleotide synthesis, so only cells that carry a functional salvage pathway (HGPRT-positive hybridomas) survive by using the supplied hypoxanthine and thymidine. A GMP-grade version (CT-02100) is in preparation (coming soon).
