Cryopan II is a chemically defined, serum-free and protein-free freezing medium with 10 % DMSO for the cryopreservation of a broad range of cell types – both primary and established, in adherent and suspension culture. Its chemically defined composition, an optimized mixture of salts, sugar, 10 % DMSO and additional antifreeze substances free from animal- and human-derived components, ensures reproducible preservation and is particularly well suited to serum-free cultured cells. High post-thaw viability has been demonstrated across a broad cell panel, including hybridoma, Jurkat, HEK293S, CHO-K1, L929, human MSC, HUVEC and Vero cells.

Yes. Cryopan II is a chemically defined, serum-free and protein-free freezing medium, free of animal- and human-derived components.
What does it contain?
An optimized, chemically defined mixture of salts, sugar, 10 % DMSO and additional antifreeze substances; it contains no animal or human components.
Which cells is it suitable for?

How should cells be frozen?
Use viable cells in the logarithmic growth phase at 5×10^5 – 2×10^6 cells/ml in cold Cryopan II, 0.5-1.5 ml per cryotube, freezing at a controlled rate of approximately 1 °C per minute before transfer to the liquid-nitrogen vapor phase.
How are cells thawed?
Thaw the cryotubes promptly in warm water (no more than 2 minutes), add growth medium dropwise, centrifuge and resuspend in the designated culture medium.
