Accutase is a ready-to-use cell detachment solution of collagenolytic and proteolytic enzymes (activity > 500 U/ml) in DPBS without Ca and Mg, with 0.5 mM EDTA and phenol red. It is used for routine detachment of adherent cells from plates and flasks and has been used successfully with fibroblasts, neurons, endothelial and smooth muscle cells, hepatocytes, embryonic stem cells and many immortalised lines. Accutase is free of mammalian and bacterial products, works at room temperature, and does not require enzymatic neutralisation for routine passaging.

How is Accutase Cell Detachment Solution, 0.5 mM EDTA used?
Aspirate medium, wash with DPBS (w/o Ca/Mg), add Accutase to cover the monolayer; cells detach at room temperature within 5-10 min. Resuspend in fresh medium.

Store at -20 °C in the dark; keep thawed solution at 2-8 °C for up to 1 month. Stable 1 year from production.
