Acetic acid 1 M
1 M acetic acid concentrate for pH adjustment / acidification in buffer preparation – liposome & LNP aqueous phase. · GMP (CT-88500)
Acetic acid 1 M is a defined acidification concentrate for buffer preparation. It sets and fine-tunes the pH of acetate- and citrate-based buffer systems in the aqueous / buffer-preparation phase of liposome and lipid-nanoparticle (LNP) manufacturing, and in general buffer preparation with acetate and citrate systems.
One GMP quality. Acetic acid 1 M is a GMP-grade catalogue product (CT-88500), manufactured by PAN-Celltech and released against a defined quality-control panel on every lot.
Why
- pH adjustment / acidification – sets and fine-tunes acetate and citrate buffer systems.
- Ready to use – defined 1 M concentrate, no weighing or dilution of glacial acetic acid.
- GMP grade – for regulated buffer preparation.

In the process – by application (upstream & downstream)
Acetic acid 1 M is used at the following process steps across the biologics platforms it supports:
Liposomes & LNP
- Aqueous / buffer preparation – acetate-buffer preparation and pH adjustment for nucleic-acid loading / mixing.
Frequently asked questions
What is Acetic acid 1 M used for?
It is a defined acidification / pH-adjustment concentrate for buffer preparation – for example in the aqueous / buffer-preparation phase of liposome and LNP manufacturing, and in general buffer preparation with acetate and citrate systems.
Is Acetic acid 1 M RNase- and DNase-free?
Yes. Acetic acid 1 M is tested RNase- and DNase-free. This matters in liposome and LNP manufacturing, where the acidic aqueous phase prepared with it carries the nucleic-acid payload during particle formation.
In which grade is Acetic acid 1 M available?
It is available as a GMP product (CT-88500, 500 ml); other pack sizes are available on request.
