Pancoll monocytes, density 1.068 g/ml is a ready-to-use density gradient separation solution based on a hydrophilic polysaccharide (molecular weight 400,000 Da). At a density of 1.068 g/ml, it is optimised for enrichment of monocytes by density gradient centrifugation: cells are layered over the Pancoll solution and, after centrifugation, fractions separate according to their density while red cells and granulocytes aggregate and sediment. At 1.068 it is suited to isolating monocytes and thrombocytes.
