Sodium Bicarbonate 7.5 % Solution is a sterile supplement used to set or adjust the bicarbonate concentration of cell culture media. Together with the CO2 in the incubator atmosphere, bicarbonate forms the carbonate buffer system that maintains medium pH. It is added to media prepared from powder, or used to fine-tune the bicarbonate level for a given CO2 setting.
