FBS Premium is PAN-Biotech’s premium-grade fetal bovine serum from South America, virus- and mycoplasma-tested and 0.2 µm sterile-filtered. It delivers reproducible, enhanced growth properties and a very low endotoxin level, making it suitable even for fastidious cell types. Fetal bovine serum is the most widely used supplement for basal media because of its high content of growth factors, promoting and sustaining the growth of vertebrate, mammalian and insect cells. FBS Premium contains serum only of the highest quality from defined countries; a Certificate of Analysis stating the country of origin is available for each lot. It is normally used at a concentration of 10 %.
