Panexin BMM is a defined serum substitute, formulated without glucocorticoids, for the standardized generation of murine bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMM). It is added to RPMI 1640 basal medium at a 5 % final concentration, together with 50 µM mercaptoethanol and 2 ng/ml murine recombinant GM-CSF, to replace fetal bovine serum under defined conditions. Its formulation contains purified proteins (< 3 % w/v), lipids, salts, amino acids, trace elements, attachment factors, hormones and animal-derived components (< 12 % w/v), without growth factors or undefined hydrolysates, for reproducible macrophage generation.
Defined, glucocorticoid-free macrophage generation. Panexin BMM replaces serum in RPMI 1640 (5 % final, with mercaptoethanol and murine GM-CSF) for standardized, reproducible generation of bone marrow-derived macrophages. Like every PAN-Biotech product, it is available in GMP quality on request – manufactured GMP EU Annex 1-compliant by PAN-Celltech.
