mRNA Technology

Vaccines have played an important role in overcoming global health crises in the past and will continue to be of great importance in the future. The process of creating a vaccine is complex, involving various stages from research to production. The mRNA-based vaccine production gained significant attention during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While many established vaccines work with inactivated viruses or virus fragments to cause an immune reaction, this method uses messenger RNA to instruct cells to produce a protein, thereby triggering an immune response. Vaccines using this method have shown their potential as they can be produced quickly and are also easily adaptable towards evolving pathogens.

It is very important that the mRNA molecules do not degrade during production, purification and formulation until the final product is administered to a patient. Our WFI quality water, buffer solutions and reagents for purification and formulation can be produced RNase-free, which ensures that mRNA stays intact. Besides our standard portfolio we also manufacture customized products like enzyme and buffer solutions that are perfectly suited for in vitro transcription, RNA purification and vaccine formulation.
